This team has been put together for the purpose of marketing 1000’s of caregivers across the globe to those in need of different types of care. It is our belief that providing the largest number of caregivers to choose from enables people to make the best choice for their care giving needs.
Our story started in October of 2007. A Registered Nurse from a family of nurses was well into her fifteenth year of nursing and employed as a Hospice Nurse. While caring for many elderly and terminally ill clients she was approached numerous times by caregivers and care seekers looking for a way to find one another.
Elderly Board and Care homes asked her frequently if she would refer new clients for their service or if she knew how they could best advertise to families needing their services. They were tired of paying huge finder’s fees for one client, yet this seemed to be their primary source of referrals.
Caregivers would give her their contact information in hopes that she would find someone new in need of their services. Nursing agencies would not always be able to place them in a new care position quickly.
Families and loved ones were often naive about how to find a caregiver and where to find them. What kind of care was available? What are their qualifications and what services do they provide?
Situations like these and many others made it clear that there was a need for a service, one that would provide a simple and easy way for caregivers to promote their services and CareHunters to find the caregiver that would best suit their needs. With this, CareHunter.com was born.
